Good News Bibles
Initially released as “Good News for Modern Man” New Testament in 1960’s, the Good News Bible has been poplar since its release. It is written in simple everyday language and is often considered especially useful for children or those for whom English is a second language. Many people find its accessible text easy to understand and the simple line drawings by Annie Valloton are enjoyed by many readers. The translation uses a thought-for-thought process called Dynamic Equivalence rather than the usual word-for-word method. This is thought to give improved understanding.
